My son the sewist!

Ethan loves animals...and so he decided he wanted to make a stuffy.   He drew the picture of the crocodile, I enlarged it and traced it onto fleece for him. We cut it out together, I started the whipstitch for him, and off he went.   I helped him with the pipecleaner teeth and beaded eyes (hot glue gun) and he was done in 2 hours!  I'm always amazed at how much patience he has to stick through things.

  1. Too cool! We made robots out of colored paper and posterboard today. It must have been craft day.

(I am impressed that your son had the stick-to-it-ive-ness to do this!)

  2. This is a huge accomplishment for someone so young. Most of my grade 4 students would have quit or asked me to fix all their stitching mistakes. Is this his first sewing project?

  3. What a terrific job he did! That is patience indeed, and the teeth came out great! He'll get so muchmore pleasure out of a stuffie he's made himself.
