Halloween at the new house...

warning image heavy...
My little mario and big batman...

stairs leading up to my home....

our pumpkins, carved artistically by moi.... please note the creative use of triangles (lol)
my front display....
my culdesac - we all pitched in to make the Tide Place Cemetery...

neighbour homes....truly, this is an immense, insane amount of work, that I would rather partake with fabric and my sewing machine...

I ran out of candy.

They came in cars.

They came in vans.

They came by bus.

There were many haunted houses.

Many foggy scenes.

Fireworks galore.

I was warned.

It was insane.

*truly, it was so busy, no car could get though, there were so many people. It was like a huge long lineup of people filing up and down from house to house. I couldn't even enjoy the wee cute trick or treaters, because there were just too many people, no pauses, no breaks for 2.5 hours straight!

  1. It looks awesome!!! How fun to be able to get in on it!!!!

We went Trick-or-Treating in an area of our town that does this. It's insane. Kids EVERYWHERE. I can't imagine what the people who live there must spend on decs and candy, not to mention how much time it takes to put up and take down. At the end of the evening we were chatting with one of the guys that had a display in his yard and he said he had over a thousand kids come through this year.

My boys were Mario and Luigi this year- I was surprised to see a lot of them. What goes around comes around, eh?

  3. Wow, your neighborhood really goes all out! Your kids look great, as do your pumpkins. It sounds like next year you will go to the bulk warehouse for candy! What a lot of work, but I bet the kids were beside themselves with glee.

  4. Wow, you live in Halloween Central! I can see why people migrate to your neighbourhood for their trick-or-treating. We live in a condo and don't get any kids at our door, so we have to borrow a street by going with friends who live in a house. Wasn't it great that the rain held off?

  5. Wow! I live on a cul de sac too. One neighbour goes all out and I love his place. Unfortunately, few kids bother to make their way to our street. Don't know why, we make it worth their while.
